Senior MEP Project Manager, Hyperscale Data Centers

An established mission critical design-build general contractor is breaking ground on multi-phase, 60MW+ hyperscale campuses across the US. Andersen James is exclusively engaged to find a Senior MEP Project Manager to lead mechanical and electrical packages from preconstruction through integrated systems testing (IST).

Own MEP delivery on 60MW+ hyperscale campuses with a multi-year pipeline already secured.

Why this role exists

Our client has a multi-year pipeline backed by major cloud and colocation clients. You will take direct commercial and operational ownership of central utility plants, medium-voltage distribution and high-density liquid cooling fit-outs.

What the first twelve months look like

Within your first year you will have led MEP trade partners on a 40MW to 120MW schedule, landed long-lead gear on time and sequenced Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning to handover without delays.

What you'll own

  • Direct MEP trade partners across 40MW+ to 120MW build schedules with zero deviation from critical path milestones.
  • Lead procurement and delivery tracking for long-lead gear: generators, switchgear, UPS systems, chillers and CRAH units.
  • Partner with commissioning agents to sequence Level 1 through Level 5 testing without handover delays.
  • Manage project financials, change-order negotiations and monthly owner reporting.

What we need to see

  • 7+ years of construction project management, including 3+ years on mission critical, semiconductor or complex industrial facilities.
  • Proven track record leading major electrical and mechanical subcontracts on fast-track schedules.
  • Strong grasp of redundant power architectures (2N, distributed redundant) and modern cooling technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field leadership experience.
